Movie Trailer Time
So I thought I'd post a few links to some trailers for some upcoming movies. First off, how about the Jack Black comedy, Nacho Libre?
Plot: A poor cook at an orphanage dreams of becoming a Luchadore (Mexican wrestler).
Why is this interesting to me? Jack Black is funny. The movie is penned by the same guy who wrote School of Rock, another Jack Black vehicle. The movie is also directed by the man who helmed Napoleon Dynamite. Hopefully all of these elements will culminate into a tasty flick. Starts June 2.
Next up: Ultraviolet.
Plot: Humans genetically modified by a vampire-like disease to make them super-human are marked for death by the normal human population. One of these super-humans, Violet (Milla Jovovich) winds up protecting a child that the normal human government thinks is a threat to humanity.
Why is this interesting to me? It is written and directed by Kurt Wimmer, who created Equilibrium, a highly underrated movie that was barely promoted when it was released. Plus, Ultraviolet stars Milla Jovovich, who's character in the movie kicks ass with swords and gunplay. Sure, it's another twist on the vampire genre and it'll probably be a mindless popcorn flick, but that's all I'm expecting from this movie. The movie opens next month.
And last, and certainly least, Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction.
The sequel is 14 years after the first Basic Instinct. This movie doesn't interest me at all. The only reason I am mentioning it is because of the uncensored promo teaser that is floating on the net. If the only reason you are wanting to see Basic Instinct 2 is for just the sex scenes, then watch the teaser and save yourself the price of a movie ticket. I will admit that Sharon Stone still looks pretty good, but that won't get me to see the movie. Here is the completely not safe for work/minors teaser: [LINK]. (Link thanks to Cityrag.)
