Check out this Flash based dice game about traversing across Africa on an expedition. The most important thing to keep track of are your porters and your food. If you run out of either you lose the game. However having more porters means your food will run out quicker. But having fewer porters means you might lose some by chance as they get eaten by the wildlife. If you are running low on food, you might want to "dump" a porter or two at your checkpoints if given the option.
